This billboard was designed for the Sanford Orlando Kennel Club. It was displayed as a digital billboard on 17-92 and also as a traditional static billboard on I-4. When I first started designing this piece I knew that it had to be eye-catching, fun, and positive. I was also aware that I could only include a limited amount of information, as passengers in passing cars would have a brief window of time to absorb the content. The billboard was a big success and many customers report that it was what initially drew them to visit.
Makeshift Records was created for an Intro to Graphic Design class project. The assignment was to create a brand identity, a story behind the record label, and an accompanying logo and vehicle graphics. I chose to portray Makeshift Records as a label that is a starting point for smaller bands getting their feet in the door of the music industry. In furtherance of this, I created graphics that sought to establish the label as an alternative to larger corporate rivals.
The Sanford Orlando Kennel Club wanted an updated, more modern logo. Their current logo was outdated and needed revitalization. With inspiration from an Absolut Vodka commercial which included robotic racing greyhounds I designed a fresh logo that the client fell in love with, and is now used on all of their branding materials.
